Improve English Spelling
Spelling and sentence structure (syntax) features as a large part of our assessments. Poor performance in this department affects other aspects of a child’s work. Our assessments give us an accurate reading on a child’s competence in this department. Our assessment analysis would indicate to us if a child needs to work on phonics (sounds within words), blending (word formation) or simply good old-fashioned spelling practice.
Our spelling help expands a child’s vocabulary, introducing them to new words and their uses. Spelling help would also cover some general writing and grammar rules, but this is covered in ‘English Writing Help’.
For children taking Verbal Reasoning in their 11 Plus examinations, these exercises rely on accurate spelling skills. So written exercises containing spellings are a staple part of a typical 11 Plus action plan.
