General Information
There are only two grammar schools in the Wiltshire area and they are located in the Salisbury region. South Wiltshire Grammar School sets exams in Mathematics, English and Verbal Reasoning, all of which are set by the National Foundation for Education Research. There is also a free writing paper that lasts 30 minutes with 5 minutes planning. The scores are added up to a standardised score. Those candidates in the borderline zone will have their free writing paper marked and added to their score.
Admissions to Bishop's Wordsworth Grammar must be made through the Local Authority. The tests and marking scheme is the same as South Wiltshire Grammar.
