Exam Dates
Almost all the grammar schools in the London boroughs have their own tests. Because of this, please see 'General Information' below for the individual exam dates for the schools.

Exam Types
The general eleven plus exam types for the various areas are as follows (some schools may have their own separate exams, for these see below in 'General Information'):

General Information
Below is more detalied information on various schools and their tests within London. For further information we strogly advise that parents contact the school they are interested in. 

Henrietta Barnett - The entrance exams take place over two sessions. The first exam date is in the last week of November and consists of reasoning tests. The second exam (providing the applicants gather a satisfactory score) are invited back to in the first week of January for an English and mathematics exam. Both tests take palce at the Henrietta Barnet School.  

Queen Elizabeth's School - There are two tests required for this school. The first is set in November and is a musical aptitude test. The second test is an English and mathematics test. Please see the QE website for information on admissions.

St Michael’s Catholic Grammar School - Entrance exams consist of Verbal, Nonverbal, English and mathematics. Please contact the school for specific exam dates.

The Latymer School - The tests for Latymer comprise of Nonverbal, English and Mathematics. The applicants are first required to take the Nonverbal test in the October half-term. If a satisfactory score is obtained, then the applicants will sit the English, mathematics and Verbal Reasoning tests in November. The tests themselves are set by the school.

Newstead Wood School for Girls - The tests here consist of Verbal and Nonverbal Reasoning only. They are both multiple choice papers set by Nfer. The tests are taken the first week of November.

St. Olaves and St Saviours Grammar School - St. Olaves only have English and mathematics in their entrance exams. This test is set in November.

Reigate Grammar School - The exams for Reigate Grammar take palce in early January and consist of English, mathematics and a reasoning test (combination of Verbal and Nonverbal Reasoning). The admissions page on their website very kindly offers a demonstration of the different exam types. 

Tiffin's Girls School - The exam format for this school is Verbal and Nonverbal Reasoning. They are both multiple choice papers and they are taken in December.
