Your Skills - Our Requirements
Becoming an Etc Tutor
You will need to have experience of teaching English or maths within the National Curriculum ideally at Key Stages 2 or 3. You will also need to be able to use the internet to access the Etc support tools such as the lesson planning system, the assessments and the record systems. If you have the necessary qualities and skills, then please contact us. We will invite you along to an interview so that you can hear more about us and the work we do. You'll also have an opportunity to ask us questions and tell us about yourself. Since you will be working with children, we will need to check your DFES number and make sure that your CRB check is up to date before making an offer of employment. (If you are already a teacher in Bexley and just intend to work for us on the 1:1 tutoring support programme for Bexley children then your existing registration arrangements as a teacher in the borough will be sufficient).
How We Support You
We are an Investors in People company so we have a commitment to improve what we do. We are proud of our team and our service, so we will work with you to help you improve your tuition skills. We will provide training to help you get the best out of the support systems and to deliver the highest quality tuition to children. Our support team will also be available by phone or email to assist you. As an Etc Tutor we will provide your Professional Indemnity Insurance.
We manage the tuition session bookings and administration, and we organise the payments to your bank account so you don't have to worry about writing invoices or collecting cash and cheques. You can concentrate on tuition and helping children acheive their true potential.
