The latest report out from the BBC suggests that more than half of father's do not read to their children at bedtimes. It has been proven that chidldren, especially boys, benefit from reading with their fathers. This is an important part of literacy skills. Want to learn what you should do?  As part of the Etc, we see a number of children of different abilities and personalities passing through our doors. It is important that a child realises that being “clever” isn’t the most important thing. Some children feel incredibly pressurised, especially at this time of year, when the eleven plus is firmly in everybody’s mind
